The Z11 Pendant has a handcrafted black bamboo frame sheathed in handmade paper or silk. Ay Illuminate’s design team—Ay Lin Heinen and Nelson Sepulveda—work with artisans to dream up these soulful creations. The fixtures are “handmade” in the truest sense of the word so longer lead-times may apply and slight variations in the profiles of each pendant may exist.

The Paper Cover for the Z pendants are handcrafted by artisans. The fixtures will always be "imperfect" if you will, since they are not machine made; each shade/cover will have slight variances. The way the cover looks is not a defect; this happens with all of them. It is part of the design.
